MGMT - All We Ever Wanted Was Everything - Music Video
Dour, depressing, bleak and hopeless. Sometimes it's nice to wallow in the everyday grimness of life.
The characters, typeface and background elements were designed around geometric shapes, mostly circles and squares. The colours are earthy and dull to give a touch of reality.
By contrast the advertising hoardings which promise a better life are saturated with bright colour.
Designed in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects.
